Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Computer Networking Systems
14-Month IT Associate Degree
The Associate of Applied Science in Computer Networking Systems program prepares students to seek careers in the field of computer networking. Networking specialists plan, coordinate, and implement an organization’s networking systems. The computer networking degree program includes Windows Active Directory administration, cloud computing concepts, application development coursework, as well as general education coursework in oral and written communication, ethics, sociology, mathematics, and environmental science.
The curriculum prepares students for TestOut Pro Certification IT exams which can earn them six certifications within the Computer Networking Systems coursework. Testing for certifications is an integrated part of the Computer Networking Systems program. Students have the option of retaking the tests on their own if they do not earn certification during the program.
IT certifications are a highly regarded qualifier for employment in the IT field. 91% of employers believe IT certifications play a key role in the hiring process and are a reliable predictor of a successful employee and 72% require IT certifications for certain job openings.1
