Certificate in Computer Aided Design

The Certificate in Computer Aided Design program is designed to provide students with fundamental computer aided design skills in two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) documentation creation and modeling. Students are prepared for a National Certification Exam (i.e., AutoCAD Certified User). In addition to attendance in all courses, students will be required to complete out-of-class assignments. These assignments include but are not limited to reading, exercises and problem solving, projects, research, papers, and presentations. Upon successful completion of the program (see Graduation Requirements section of the catalog), students could seek or obtain entry-level employment in a computer aided design or drafting related field.

National Certification Exam
Students in the Certificate in Computer Aided Design program will take a proctored certification test at a designated testing center (e.g., Certiport, Pearson VUE, etc), nearest to them. Charter College cannot guarantee a testing center will be available within a specific distance from a campus or the student’s home; prospective students should consider testing center location as part of their enrollment decision.
