Employment & Resource Fair for Military Veterans in Southern California

Charter College will be hosting a Veteran Career & Resource Fair Thursday, August 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m at the Robinson Ranch Golf Club, 27734 Sand Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. The event is open exclusively to veterans from  11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and to the public and veterans from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

This event will bring together veterans, veteran service providers and area employers, with the goal of putting more veterans to work by matching their skills with the employers who need them.  
Nearly 50 employers who are actively seeking job applicants will be on hand, providing attendees with a tremendous opportunity to secure employment. Employers scheduled to attend include:  Adecco, Allied Barton, Aranda Accounting & Tax Services, California Division of Apprenticeship, California National Guard, Charter College, Department of Rehabilitation, DKKD Staffing, H&R Block, Habitat for Humanity, IBEW, LA Metro Transportation Authority, Los Angeles County Sheriff, Los Angeles Police Department, Lowe’s, Mission Continues, New Horizon Computer Learning Center, Northern Western Mutual Life Insurance, Northop Grumman, Oxnard Courtyard Marriott, PV Jobs Veteran Education Assistance Program, Republic Services, Riverside Corrections, Riverside County Sheriff, Riverside Probation, Safe Groups, Salvation Army - Haven, Sam’s Club, Skanska, Southern California Cement Masonry, Sunrun Solar, Inc., Swift Transportation, UBER, UCLA Department of Medicine, Union Electrician Institute, United States Marines, United States Navy, Verizon, Volunteers of America, and Wells Fargo.
The event will also host informational presentations by guest speakers. On the schedule are: Michael Dolphin, EDD Division Chief; James Williams, Oxnard Fire Chief; Lynette Jones, Major, U.S. Army Reserve and President of New Day Talk Radio.
The following resource vendors will also be on hand to provide relevant information to attendees:  Employment Development Department, Goodwill of Oxnard and Santa Clarita Valley, Tilliman Media, and Veteran Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
