Alaska Native & American Indian Tuition Discount Program Introduced

Anchorage, AK (June 4, 2014) – Charter College is introducing the Alaska Native & American Indian Tuition program, offering a 20 percent discount on tuition costs for Alaska and American Indian natives.
To be eligible for the Alaska Native & American Indian Tuition Discount program, students must have proof of eligibility with one of the following:
  • Be an Alaska Native or American Indian person listed on the original Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) roll
  • Have a lineal descendent of a person listed on the original ANCSA roll
  • Hold a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) issued by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) or a federally recognized tribe
  • Be recognized as an official member of a federally recognized Indian tribe (excluding honorary or other non-constitutional or non-customary forms of membership)
Students participating in the Alaska Native Tuition Discount program are eligible for Title IV funds. Further details on the program are available by calling 888.242.3231.
