Charter College Coming to Billings – April 11

We’re excited to offer our Medical Assistant program at a brand new Charter College in Billings, Montana at 1603 Grand Avenue. The college offers a small, personalized space where students will get to know their instructors and staff by name.

“We’ve created a very compelling sort of community,” said Tracy McClenathan of Charter College. “And we’re bringing in a full contingent of the best staff who know who we are, what we do and why we’re doing it. They believe in our mission.”

The Billings campus offers a blended modality that uses technology in a way that is easy and interactive, but also gives you practical, hands-on training in the classroom. Homework, quizzes, tests and discussion groups all take place online.

“We know students are busy,” said Tracy. “We give them an opportunity to attain their education and still have their lives.”

Among the unique features of the campus are our Charter Connect rooms. Rather than have a full staff of administration personnel onsite, the campus allows students to connect with services like Financial Aid and Career Services through a link room. You can receive one-on-one personalized service, in real time, through our video conferencing system. You don’t even need an appointment! Just let us know what your questions are and we’ll be sure to connect you to the right Charter College staff.

Tracy says that Medical Assisting was specifically chosen as the start point because there’s a real demand for the training.

“We are going into a community that has a need for what we will offer. Montana, as a state, was incredibly receptive to the idea,” said Tracy. “Our goal isn’t just to educate. It’s also to go into a community and leave it better than we found it.”
