After high school, Natalie got a job in a coffee shop. It wasn’t long before she realized she didn’t want to be stuck doing that kind of work for that kind of pay for the rest of her life.

Natalie didn’t enjoy high school, so the thought of going back to school was not appealing. She had enrolled at a community college briefly, but found the general studies courses difficult and uninteresting. A friend enrolled at Charter College told her that the school was different and worth a try.

Because Natalie has always loved the idea of working in a busy hospital, she enrolled in the medical assistant program. For the first time in her life, she actually enjoyed going to school. Natalie appreciated that her instructors took the time to make sure she and her fellow classmates understood the material and they all enjoyed learning new things together.

Today Natalie is caring for patients in an on-site health center. She’s doing what she loves and it took her less than a year to get there.
