Blended Learning – the Future of Post-Secondary Education
For health care and trades programs, Charter College uses an innovative curriculum model that combines a hands-on classroom experience with online education.
What is Blended Learning?
With Charter College Blended Learning, students learn both in the classroom and online, saving daily travel time and expenses providing the flexibility to work and manage family life while attending school. Online studies can be completed anywhere there is internet connection at the student's convenience.
Why Blended?
The blended learning model has been proven to be the most effective way for students to learn. A U.S. Department of Education study found that students who had a blended curriculum performed better than students in traditional settings.
Charter College believes blended learning has the ability to meet the needs of a much broader group of students than traditional education. It is also proving to be a more effective way to prepare for a new career.
Which programs are offered as Blended?
All programs with a hands-on learning component are offered in the Blended Learning format. These currently include: Medical Assistant, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Computer Networking Systems, Welding, and HVAC/R.
