ACICS Show-Cause Status: Anchorage & Wasilla Only

Notice to students and prospective students: Charter College, Anchorage, has been placed on student achievement show-cause by their accreditor, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (“ACICS”), due to noncompliance with placement standards: placement at 41% as reported on the 2016 Campus Accountability Report.
 
Charter College, Anchorage, is a branch campus which includes the learning site in Wasilla. The placement percentage reported above is at the campus-level; program-level placement percentages are available in the full 2016 Campus Accountability Report (CAR) available on the College’s website here under “Retention, Placement, and Licensure exam pass rates reported to ACICS”. The College filed a 2016-2017 Mid-Year CAR, including supporting documentation, with ACICS in March 2017; that report shows a campus-level placement rate of 51%. The College stands firmly behind the sustainability of our programs, in our student’s ability to successfully complete programs, and seek employment in the field.
 
Notice to students and prospective students: The Certificate in Business Office Administration program at Charter College, Anchorage and Wasilla, has been placed on student achievement show-cause by their accreditor, the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (“ACICS”), due to material noncompliance with its placement rate standard of 60%.
 
Charter College, Anchorage, is a branch campus which includes the learning site in Wasilla. The percentages reported above are at the program-level for the 2015-2016 Campus Accountability Report (CAR) which is available here under “Retention, Placement, and Licensure Rates”. For the 2015-2016 CAR, the Certificate in Business Office Administration placement rate was 52%. The College filed a 2016-2017 Mid-Year CAR, including supporting documentation, with ACICS in March 2017; that report shows a placement rate in Business Office Administration of 44%. The mid-year CAR was updated, supported with documentation, and filed again with ACICS in late March 2017. The College stands firmly behind the sustainability of the program, in our student’s ability to successfully complete programs, and seek employment in the field.
