The Dental Assistant program has been designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in a variety of dental settings.
The content of the program provides the student with:
- Didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction in chairside assisting procedures
- Infection control
- Treatment procedures commonly performed in a dental office setting
- Basic training in front office procedures
Emphasis is placed on the guidelines required by the California Dental Board of Examiners for a Registered Dental Assistant Program. Upon successful completion of the program, the Charter graduate will be provided with a Certificate for Coronal Polishing and Dental X-Ray.
